Madam, Sir, Dear Colleague,

The National Association of Continuing Professional Development Universitary Departments Directors (FMC-U) organizes, on February 3rd, 2012 at the University of Paris-Diderot, its first European seminar to develop the innovation in healthcare professional training.

At a time when regulatory and budgetary constraints are increasing, it is more important than ever to improve the quality and efficiency of care. To develop an innovative pedagogy in order to optimize the impact of recommendations of good practice and good use appears to be a need to strengthen the skills and knowledge of healthcare professional regarding of the users.

We will discuss with the assistance of French and foreign experts, professional and patient representatives around three keywords “better concepts”, “better formation” and “better prescriptions” the following issues : European experiences , simulation methods, generic products and pharmaceutical prescribing patterns in Europe.

Academics and non academic involved in training and analysis of professional practices, as well as institutional representatives are invited to participate.

This meeting is conducted in partnership with the European Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and the National Educational Association for the Therapeutic Education (APNET).

We thank the conference of the Deans of Faculties of Medicine, the OECD, CNAMTs, the university of Paris Diderot and AP-HP for their supports.

We hope for your active participation to deepen our discussions and work together to develop recommendations which will be the object of a later publication.
